Madonna Inn

Have you ever heard of this famous location? The Madonna Inn. Named for the Madonna family, not the iconic singer, who shares the same name. Located in San Luis Obispo, CA.

The Madonna Inn is one of those special places that make you feel like you are in another time and place. It could be considered a time capsule for decor. It's pure eye candy. Pink is the signature color. They have signature beverage glasses and the carpet is very colorful and fun.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming. The rooms are a definite must stay. Every single room is different and unique. You have to see them in person to really appreciate them. They have two onsite restaurants, the Madonna Steakhouse with the signature bright pink vinyl chairs and the Copper Cafe. The Copper Cafe is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is great and the ambiance is very warm and inviting.

Did you know they have a Secret Garden for wedding ceremonies? They also have multiple spaces for your wedding reception. All of the food is made in-house, meaning no outside catering is allowed. No outside food is allowed in. Their food is so good, you won't want or need anything else. They even offer their signature Pink Champagne Wedding Cake with exclusive pink chocolate curls. Yes, I have had it and it is delicious!! They even offer pies, cookies, and chocolate truffles for your reception.

You might think it would be too expensive to get married there, but in reality it is very reasonable. You pay the meal fee per guest. There are different meal options to choose from and the fee also includes 4 hours of reception time. You are able to add more hours on if needed. Say you have a ceremony from 4-5, with outdoor cocktail hour in the garden and your reception dinner begins at 6pm, that takes your party to 10:00pm. That is usually the perfect amount of time. You can always add on if you have a real party crowd!

They have some vendors that you need to use from their list. Linens, rentals, and possibly florals. You are allowed to bring in your own Planner and your own DJ, Photographer, and Fun vendors. For a real guest treat, you could hire SLO Mama Ice Cream. She will come in her vintage truck and hand out ice cream or you could request her gelato cart, Tink!! Either way, your guests will be amazed and that outside food is allowed. You are required to have a Planner…that could be me!

They offer room blocks for your guests to book. There is another Inn/motel close by, but I highly suggest everyone stay at the Madonna Inn for the full experience. Your Planner also needs to stay on site, if they are traveling far. Along with any other vendors that would be traveling.

I have been there before and I know what they expect. I am also familiar with local vendors to that area. The Madonna Inn is a very special historical, and unique location I would take a wedding there in a heartbeat!
